Strangely Familiar American Dream is a photo series chronicling scenery and houses in the state of Pennsylvania. The landscapes often appear devoid of a human presence though clearly altered by man: suburbs, wooden row houses, wide open spaces, scattered trees, vast fields. Liminal spaces that exist as a transitional dimension evoking an eerie sense of familiar surreality. Detached scenes that sometimes approach the aesthetics of the horror film genre make the viewer experience a sense of derealization.
